Employee Spotlight - Chris Jennings

At Elevate, being a staff member means being part of a culture of success, trust, and fun! Our coaches, parents, and kids return repeatedly because of the relationships formed with our team. 

Next in our spotlight series is Christopher Jennings, a Sports Team Member at Elevate CNY. 

Chris became a member of the Elevate team in late 2023 after retiring from the Utica Police Department, where he served for twenty years. Elevate brings out the childlike joy in all of us, and Chris is no exception. As a youngster, he played hockey and baseball and continued playing and coaching at the college level and even with his children.

A NO-BRAINER 

When Chris got the call to join the Elevate team, he felt it was a no-brainer. As a sports enthusiast, Elevate felt like home, and its values aligned with ICAN's, which he firmly believes in.

ON THE TURF 

Chris is a big sports fan who can be found on the turf, court, and concrete at Elevate. He enjoys watching practices and games while forming relationships with the parents and guardians of players. Chris finds it inspiring to be part of a community that provides a safe, friendly, and accessible space for area youth. He believes Elevate is an excellent place for anyone and enjoys contributing to the region's well-being.

ON HIS OWN TIME

Chris enjoys working out, tending to his yard, and traveling nearby. His all-time favorite athlete is Wayne Gretzky.
